The newest Air Show in Europe will bring innovative concept for the high altitude rope rescue and high reference helicopter operations

The Belchin AIr Show will take place in the summer of 2018 at the Belchin region, Bulgaria. Our vision for #BelchinAirShow is to set the tradition to present innovative ideas to the constantly increasing need for Search and Rescue development in Bulgaria and expand the boundaries of SAR operations,

Ivan Kristoff invites his friends, aviators, rescuers and rope access experts in aerial operations. He is developing new solutions to improve the efficiency of vertical and aerial rope operations that he will share with the emergency response community and government organizations that deal with SAR in the three domains: Sea - Air - Land.

By attending his presentations you will become aware of challenging rope access scenarios that happen at the height of over 300 meters off the ground.This is domain that is known as a super high rise buildings. That knowledge will help develop new training procedures for mega high rise buildings above 600 meters.

Bulgaria's Newest Air Show

The Belchin Air Show will attract many of the world’s top experts who have the same goal – to share their experience and vision on what will make SAR missions more efficient.

E.X.T.R.E.M.E.” TV Series

At the #BelchinAirShow Ivan Kristoff will present the new challenge for the world of rope access and air rescue: M.A.R.S.  With students, he started filming the development of this concept and how emergency responders will train to achieve their goal. Phase 1:  filming 16 episodes for extreme and trailblazing training. Each episode will include 5 minute segments called “Extreme with friends”. The first episode will be introduction to the serial. The next episodes will be divided into three categories:  Sea – Air – Land.

The “Vertical” Newsletter

In the issue of the Vertical  Newsletter, the Canadian and Bulgarian Spiderman will showcase his “Innovation in Aviatiohn” for vertical operations. His name is embedded in the word InnoVAtioN. Come to his A12 booth and see what that means. Following Ivan’s successful presence at Dubai HeliShow over the years, he will present the concept of “Creating a Highrise Emergency Aerial RescueTeam for Bulgaria”.

E.X.T.R.E.M.E. Magazine

Ivan Kristoff has created CLUB EXTREME ( E.X.T.R.E.M.E. – studEnt’s eXtreme Team for Rescue, aErial and Maritime Emergеncy) – a new way to participate in extreme rope access and motor sports. He sponsors and supports the initiatives of young and prominent students, who dare to enter the vertical world. The Club develops specialized training for aerial and vertical operations, work at extreme heights and sports.

ROPE ACCESS PHOTOGRAPHY: Altitude with Attitude

This collection of photos and essay represent the scope of work in the artistic and professional endeavor of the Ivan Kristoff in the period of year 2002-2005. As Prof. Pascal Michelucci of the University of Toronto wrote that Ivan’s amazing photographic work has found a great historic venue where it will be showcased in the national capital of his own native country. In his letter address for the opening of Ivan’s exhibition in the Bulgarian National Assembly Building in Sofia, he wrote: “You can feel proud of such an achievement. The photo exhibit which you were contemplating when you took my Communication, Culture and Information technology course has now became a reality. Your efforts are being acknowledged and rewarded in a memorable manner… I am sure that many more successes will follow”.


This is an idea to create a Limited Edition Book of 12 copies for the 12th Anniversary of Dubai Helishow.  It can be given as a specuial gift to the 12 exhibition partners and supporters of Ivan Kristoff in Dubai. They will receive a hard copy of the book and link  the MISSION: POSSIBLE to their web sites, social media mixes, iPhone, Android, Windows 8 and other smart-phone and notebook applications.

Aerial stunts for the music

Music is the best way to promote a message. That is why Ivan Kristoff experimented with young and talented musicians Kristo and Svetlio Kislev to produce the rap hit “Fire off“. Through it Ivan showcased the light features of his client a Swiss Made Watch manufacturer. The helicopter stunts were performed by Spider-Man Ivan Kristoff. They were the pinnacle element in the subject line of the video. It is entirely captured at “Riu Pravets Resort” on the lake in the town of Pravec.

Brand Enhancement through the music

Music, sports and art associated with the source of energy that stimulates us to be active. This combination brought together Ivan and Kiril Milchev who aim to attract younger audiences, show them by inspiring and motivating ways how to use energy in a positive and useful direction.

“Mentors and Apprentices” Program

This Arts Initiative brings experienced pilots, rope access technicians, artists, musicians and aerial photographers with highly promising young artists to collaborate a one-to-one mentoring relationship. The programme will start during Belchin Air Show  and we hope to initiate enriching dialogue between artists of different generations, and cultures, fulfilling its aim to make a significant contribution to the visual presentation of the helicopter industry. This project is initiated by Ivan Kristoff, who is the organizer of Belchin Helishow.


Ivan Kristoff solves problems in vertical and aerial environment on super high-rise buildings and initiates innovative concepts like Mid Air Rope Access (M.A.R.S.) One of his companies completed the very first rope access on the exterior top of the tallest tower in the world in 2003. He also created the Highrise Emergency Aerial Response Team (H.E.A.R.T.).

With the challenges of the constantly increasing refugee crisis in Europe, where people want to set volunteer structures to deal with the situation, this will be the place to exchange ideas in that direction.”, says Kristoff, known as the Canadian Spiderman.

Extreme Aerial Rescue
For the presentation “Creating a volunteer Aerial Rescue Team ”, Ivan Kristoff will present his idea for the organize a Mountain SAR rescue team for the agaicenr mountains. He has already invested in building a Training base and Air Trafic Control Tower for volunteer rescuers and will start developing a Mission Control Center for the video monitoring of SAR operations in the whole region of Verila Mountain.

At the Belchin Air Show we plan to interview on Live video streaming pilots  for the Mid Air emeRgency reSponse (M.A.R.S.). Some of the concepts for this project were presented in the near 12 minute Prime Time News on New7 TV. The preferred time and date when you can see  our presentation  will be announced in the first episode of   Ivan Kristoff’s pilot project ” Extreme with friends” TV series.

A new perception of the Bulgarian aviation

“My understanding of the concept for BAS (Belchin Air Show) is B.A.S. (Being Always firSt). this is the path I believe that can be taken for the new 100th Anniversary of the Bulgarian aviation. Built on the proud history and traditions of the Bulgarian aviation, I can elevate the reputation of our aviation to new heights and promote our achievements beyond the boundaries of our homeland. I have done it in the past, and put my life on the line to do it again”, says Ivan Kristoff.

The EU Border Air Police Guardians

The Bulgarian Ministry of Interior and Ivan Kristoff  started working on a short film for the S.A.S. (Specialized Air Surveillance) squad. This is a teamwork of air crew men, who would like to create an action-packed and informative visual presentation of their profession.
